Semyel
and Syntax:
how it all began

Our partnership with Semyel began after we “bid farewell” to our commitment to tennis – which we had pursued passionately for 20 years.
After being supported privately by Peter Kuratli as a Swiss Sports Aid protégé from 2014, Semyel became Syntax’s first Alpine ski ambassador in 2018 – and has been an integral part of the Syntax family ever since.

Following his breakthrough at the World Cup in 2020/21, a cruciate ligament rupture at the start of the following season put the brakes on his progress. This was followed by a very difficult three years, during which he also struggled with disc problems in his back.
Semyel has embraced these challenges in the knowledge that such experiences will make him even stronger. His exceptional talent is undeniable, and we are convinced that he will succeed in returning to the world’s elite. However, the key to success is and always will be health.

What characterises our partnership:
Close friendship and solidarity, a love of sport (especially our joint golf events), and a shared philosophy in life and family values.

Semyel Bissig,
the perfectionist.
